Desertinho Atlantic Ocean – There Desertinho Blows and Blogs again!
There Desertinho Atlantic Whale observations finally Blows and Blogs again and for the first time in 2017! It took a “whale” since I posted anything on my blog and I’ am sorry about that. I did not posted any actual information about Desertinho’s Atlantic whale observations, whale photo-ID projects, or our international Whale rescue advice contribution.
But now there is a lot of information to share together with you about all these topics. To make a long story short: On behalf of Desertinho Atlantic whale observations I travelled in 2017 a lot on the Atlantic Ocean and I returned home together with amazing results about Blue whales (Balaenoptera musculus), loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta), and last but not least my most favorite seabird ever namely the Cory’s shearwater (Calonectris borealis). All these spectacular marine wildlife animals of the Atlantic will have their own main stage on Desertinho’s Blog area the next period and in that order.
So, Desertinho will start first with a special topic about the loggerhead sea turtle. The next special guest that will appear on Desertinho’s blog will be the Cory’s shearwater and last but not least Desertinho will inform you about several whale photo-ID’s we have made till so far in 2017. Just to give you a small teaser: Desertinho has a match about an impressive Atlantic Bottlenose dolphin without a dorsal fin, less sperm whales present in the Acores in early summer, the “Black edition” common dolphin, and a few Blue whales that I photographed may end up in one of the leading catalogs of the Atlantic. Desertinho Atlantic Ocean – There Desertinho Blows and Blogs again!
Voor het eerst in 2017 verschijnt de eerste Blog van Desertinho Atlantic Whale observations getiteld: “There he Blows and Blogs again”. Het is een tijd geleden dat ik een blog artikel heb geschreven en een van de redenen hiervoor is dat ik de afgelopen periode veel gereisd heb op de Atlantische Oceaan en dat ik veel inhoudelijk heb veranderd aan de bestaande pagina’s op mijn website.
Leuk nieuws is dat er de komende periode regelmatig nieuwe, en eigen geschreven, blog artikelen zullen verschijnen op mijn website over bijvoorbeeld walvis observaties die ik dit jaar heb gedaan, de voortgang over de diverse Walvis Foto-ID projecten waarbij ik betrokken ben, en tot slot Desertinho’s bijdrage voor wat betreft walvis redding advies. Samenvattend: Er is dus veel informatie om te delen via de Desertinho’s blog area over al deze onderwerpen. Dit jaar heb ik vele uren doorgebracht op de Atlantische Oceaan en ben ik terug gekeerd met bijzondere resultaten over bijvoorbeeld onechte karetschildpadden (Caretta caretta), mijn meest favoriete zeevogel ooit de Kuhl’s pijlstormvogel (Calonectris borealis), en tot slot de Blauwe vinvissen (Balaenoptera musculus).
Alle 3 deze prachtige zee(zoog)dieren zullen de komende periode, en in die volgorde, voorbij komen op mijn blog. Het eerste blog artikel dat zal verschijnen gaat dus over de onechte karetschildpad, het volgende blog artikel zal gaan over de Kuhl’s pijlstormvogel, en in het derde blog artikel zullen de resultaten bekend worden gemaakt over Desertinho’s Walvis foto-ID projecten 2017. Om alvast een voorproefje te geven over de resultaten van de Desertinho’s Walvis foto-ID projecten 2017 kan ik alvast het volgende vertellen: Een Atlantische Tuimelaar zonder rugvin, minder potvissen aanwezig in de Azoren gedurende het begin van de zomer, en een aantal Blauwe vinvissen die ik gefotografeerd heb worden waarschijnlijk opgenomen in een van de belangrijkste Atlantische Blauwe vinvis catalogussen.
Kortom heel veel leuke en interessante informatie om te delen via mijn blog en houdt deze dan ook goed in de gaten de komende maanden. Als laatste kan ik aanbieden dat het nog mogelijk is, maar wees snel, om nog dit najaar Desertinho Atlantic Whale observations te boeken voor presentaties en lezingen.
